Producers (Credit Buyers)

Producers (Extractors of Raw Materials, Converters, Packers/Fillers, Assemblers, Importers, Distributors and Sellers of Products) or their representatives (Producer Responsibility Organizations) can purchase and retire Tokenized Recycling Credits (TRCs) and Tokenized Carbon Credits (TCCs) to offset the carbon and waste footprints resulting from their operations and products sold into the market, which unfortunately end up in landfills, incinerators, or get discharged to the environment. The purchase of TRCs and TCCs support recycling supply chains and rewards contributors directly for their work as the company seeks to improve product recyclability (redesign), increase recycled material content use, and introduce closed-loop systems for product recovery, such as product-as-a-service business models. The retirement of credits to Carrot’s public registry demonstrates to employees, customers, shareholders, and regulators that the company's commitment to meeting ESG goals and compliance with EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) mandates is real.
