Bin Custodians
Offering waste hauling for every waste type at every point of waste generation is not realistic or optimal. This means drop-off locations with bins dedicated to different waste streams is needed. However, the cost of providing bin infrastructure and managing logistical operations and maintenance is significant. Including the bin custodian role in the recycling economy and returning part of the rewards from TRC and TCC sales to the bin custodian opens the door for private companies to help sponsor bin networks. Partnerships between Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies and facilities managers such as gas stations, supermarkets, malls, schools, drug stores and many more can be established to make high performance recycling convenient. Public-private partnerships in shared bin custodians solutions can also be established helping companies to expand their ESG practices and work in collaboration with municipalities to reduce recycling costs.
